Never Under Estimate the Power of a Positive Attitude
There are some weddings I really look forward to and that's largely due to the fact of how much energy and enthusiasm my couples bring with them. It's almost indescribable what a positive attitude carries. Now don't get me wrong, many of these kinds of couples still get nervous and the jitters and everything else that comes along with a wedding day but how they handle it really shines through my lens. No matter how nervous most of my couples have gotten, their love has always come through in their photos.
When getting ready for your wedding day, don't forget to plan something fun or funny to remind yourselves that your day is about the two of you and how you make each other feel. Everything else melts away and the only thing that matters is your love. It's easy to get wrapped up in all of the little things and although nothing in love is ever trivial, just remember to relax and transform any anxiety to thinking about all the positive parts of you two as a team.
Some tips I have to really bring out your positive energy is to:
Make the day about each other and really focus on what each of you can do to make the other at ease. Even if it means to make compromises.
Plan something fun that day that you may do on a daily or weekly basis. Recently I met with an amazing couple that I'll be shooting soon and they planned to go bowling immediately after the ceremony! What a great way to blow off some steam and get in the right "frame" of mind. (Every pun intended)
Remember that you'll be surrounded by people that you care about that already know you're madly in love with each other. Many of whom have been around you two a lot, the biggest difference is that your wardrobe is a little different.
I love positive energy and I bring it with me every chance I get. I owe it to my couples to show that I'm just as excited about their day as they are because I get a front row seat to the start of such an awesome journey for them.
Stay positive and that's all I have for now
